for four weeks

I might not be blogging or doing any thing cool because from today I have exactly 4 weeks till my last final ends, and I have a lot of reading and writing to do... but we'll see. sigh.
On a lighter note, today we went to get our second sonogram, and it's still a girl :) and we still don't know what we're going to name her, and we got to see her face among other things, and she looks supper-dupper... and so in just 4 and a half weeks, if I go into labor the doctors will gladly help it along because I will be in the safe zone (37 weeks apparently)... not that we're planning on having an early baby, but you never know... I wouldn't mind not having my organs be punching bags a few days sooner...
And tyson signed up for classes today and it looks like he'll be all set to graduate the end of june :) he just has to test out of a math class that they aren't offering this summer because he took harder math classes at BYU, but apparently UVU really wants their basic math class to be taken- lame....

Skipping class

Yesterday was one of the very few times i have skipped class for mostly fun purposes during my college career. And it was fun! I don't really have class monday wednesday and friday because i'm supposed to be writing my senior thesis, and tyson has wednesday and thursday as his days off (for now, his last day will be tuesday and then he will do road work for his uncle again this summer till he gets a job with his degree) and technically it is UVU's spring break (just wed-fri, weird) so wednesday we got both of the cars' oils changed, which was long overdue, and then we piled up our christmas stuff and our mountain of laundry(like 5 feet and counting... that's on the list of the next apartment we live in... washer and drier por favor!) and drove up to his parents' house an hour away. we relaxed and played pool and watched tv, and did some of the laundry.
we took a walk that night just the two of us because their dogs are too strong pullers on the leash right now for me. then we watched a movie and i went to bed, at 1230, but i slept untill 8am which was amazing, usually i wake up about 5 times. and then the fun day began!

we went at 9am and played volleyball for 2 and a half hours with tyson's sister and her fiancee and tysons aunt and uncle and a neighbor. it was way fun and i got some decent hits in. my arm is sore but it was worth it. and it was perfect because it was low key just 4 on 3 in the church so it wasn't too intense for the preggy girl and no one cared when i couldn't get to the ball :) then we went home and watched el dorado because tyson had never seen it, and then

we went to the zoo with aunt lindsey and her two lil kids and her sister in law and her kid. it was way fun and there wearen't very many people there and the animals were very active.... they have a baby elephant and a baby giraff (and a baby aligator) right now and they were soo cute. the zoo was playing indian music for the daddy elephant's cage and he was a very talented dancer all on his own. and so to top it off last night tyson made his favorite dinner at his parents' house--

swedish meat balls and gravy and lingon berry jam and potatoes and broccoli - yum! from ikea of course. any who that was our big fun day, and now it's back to school back to school to prove to my daddy that i'm no fool lol.

less than a month!

until classes are over and all i will have left is finals :) Tyson and i are very sick of school. i know, we shouldn't be and we should enjoy all our classes but we don't and we're just ready to be done.... poor tyson is jealous of me graduating but his turn will come soon enough this summer.
In a week and a half i will get another ultrasound to make sure everything's lookin good for birth.... and unfortunately we are too busy to take a birthing class BOO! only 9 more weeks and literally 2 months from today is my due date. unfortunately i have pregnancy insomnia... i hate it. tyson went to bed at 11 and so did i but now it's almost 2 and so i decided to get out of bed because it's been three hours that i haven't even dozed off... and this morning i woke up at 3,4,5,8, and 9 and it was daylight savings... so why can't i sleep? oh well. it just stinks that i'm too exhausted to do homework or something productive most of the time that i'm awake because it's either the middle of the night or i was up all night. some day i'll catch up on sleep... like maybe when i'm a grandma.... haha.

Summer goal

I know i have a lot on my plate right now with school and that i'll have a lot on my plate when the baby comes, but i also know that i'll have some down time this summer where i'm not looking for new jobs for tyson or a new apartment for us or working out and playing with the baby.... or all the many other things this summer will entail, so i've decided that one of my summer goals will be to learn more Swedish. I think it will be fun. last night i was reading some fairy tales in swedish (tyson has a few big books full of them with like every story you can think of such a Rapunzel, or the Ugly Duckling, Sleeping Beauty, and etc.) and we have a 10 cd set that is "how to" learn the basics of swedish (you know one of those kits... no it's not a rosetta stone or anything, but it will do) and there are you tube videos and the provo library is only 6 blocks away, not to mention tyson and his grandpa speak swedish, so basically i have more than enough material and supplies to learn the BASICS of swedish this summer! i'm excited.... oh and plus i think we have some disney movies in swedish....but they have to be played on a special dvd player..... hmmmmmm :)

Why, Yes....

BYU volleyball (the #4 team in the nation) did just beat Pepperdine (the #1 team in the nation).... ya we about doubled their score on the last match... and yes Tyson and I were there to witness it :)

So my computer is going to need a new hard drive... and everythings backed up and it's all good, but i can't really put any pictures i take on my computer now so...
this was 26 weeks i think.... but now i'm 30 weeks, so just add a couple inches to my waist :) ( not the most flattering picture but it's what i have for belly purposes)

oh and did i mention our new calling...

We are the new cub masters! I'm not gonna lie, this calling has been pretty stressful (mostly because we're so busy) but we are learning a lot and it will get easier as we go... and i'm sure this information will be useful when i have a son someday... we got called in December and so we've been in charge of two meetings- January and February. we did the blue and gold banquet this past month to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of boy scouts! woo hoo! we did taco salad and had a pinata and had a cake baking competition. oh and by the way.... those awards add up to be pretty expensive so don't lose them. this calling has got tyson to thinking... and persuading/ (assigning "homework") to his little brother tanner (16) to finish getting his eagle :)

It's already MARCH!!!!

We've just been busy with school recently. I'm so glad it's march and that school ends in April. Yay. it's half way over and i'm done with all of my midterms... now to start my final projects:
I have a group project and a 10pg research paper for my Latino Lit class. I have two 20min powerpoint presentations in my honors "mental illness in literature and film" class which i am doing on vets with post traumatic stress, and the other on children with mental illness. I am also writing my 20 page final thesis one the genre of the fantastic and human/societal tendencies toward the liminal space of half human creatures... using The Metamorphosis, The Island of Dr. Moreau, and Gulliver's Travels. I have three more tests and two more papers in my honors rhetorical grammar class. AND a project/paper for my religion "saints at war" class.
well at least i can list it all... right? haha.

Tyson has started to fly again this semester.... he is flying bigger planes then he did to get his private license and it costs a lot more, not to mention it's very time consuming, but we're both happy with it none the less and he will soon have his instrument rating (basically a bad weather licence). YAY! not to mention he loves flying... he'll probably take some friends and/or family up flying this semester seeing as how he needs about over 80 hours of fly time. I wish i could go but alas it's not the best idea to be flying for no reason while preggers- so he won't take me.
The baby is getting bigger and stronger every day.... she gets the hicups like about twice a day... steps on my organs all day and bounces on the bed all night while i lay on my side.... and has started to push at my ribs... like constantly. I got my Rogam shot recently, and i don't have gestational diabetes. my blood pressure has been supper at every visit.... my legs have gotten sore on tuesdays because i have class from 930 to 630 and my back pack is so heavy, and i started having a leg pain for a few days, but my mom said it could be because i'm a little under hydrated and lo and behold i went to costco and bought a 24 pack of gatorade and my leg pain that i had for at least 5 days went away and has stayed away even through a tuesday. woo hoo. ...and in 3 weeks we will have another ultrasound to make sure everything still looks good.... healthy baby and able to be upside down and what not. I am one lucky girl.

For valentines we went to Las Vegas (using tyson's dumb time share trial that he got before we were married- rip off! but we had to use it so might as well make the best of the trip)! it was a very nice and needed break. the hotel was nice and had like 4 pools and a kitchen in our room.... so we got there friday and just chilled and watched the olympics and what not. saturday we went to the Zoo which was very tiny but very fun. and then we went to the strip in the afternoon... and walked around for a very long time and of course being preggy i got very sore and tired, but we saw a lot of cool stuff (the bellagio water show was my favorite part of the strip) i had no idea how amazing it was even from pictures and videos of it....in person is the way to go!

(and a lot of gross stuff on the ground that we would have prefered our eyes not be subject to- if you know what i mean... i'm never takin my kids there :) and we got pizza and a crepe in Paris and we went to a show that we got free 60 dollar tickets for from our hotel to see "the mentalist".... a comedy magic act. it was very entertaining but i would not have paid $120 to see it. tyson got me some sunglasses from planet Hollywood for valentines and i got him some snowboarding tickets (they're way cheap through the school)... so hopefully he will go to sundance this weekend or next :) Tyson forgot his church clothes so we did a picnic at the temple on sunday and we cooked the steaks we got from the grocery store on saturday for our valentines day meal... oh and the baby liked the heated pool... it was about 85 degrees in the pool which was awesome because i couldn't go in the hot tub and it would have been too cold in february to go into a nonheated pool. overall a wonderful weekend!
I am loving reading katie and bruces china blog! and i hope they're having an amazing experience! and i can't wait to hopefully see them in july in texas...
