back in may when my mom switched her flight to come out earlier because we thought abby would come sooner and then she never cam and i had to be induced... we took some breaks from the four mile walks to do some fun things to fill our time. one thing we did was buy a tiny 4" tomato plant... which we have repotted twice and had to get a babysitter for a few times... but i'm proud to announce that it has yielded many cute red tomatos.... ok so it might be lame but it's the first thing we've ever grown and i can't wait to have a garden when we own a house someday :)

overposting
if you think i'm overposting it's probably because i am, and because tyson's grandparents just left for their second mission as a couple to Thailand and want to stay updated (not to mention my other relatives who have yet to meet abby... i feel a sant reunion coming on next summer...).

they went to Chicago for their first mission. it's pretty exciting. they stayed with us between when they left the mtc and when they flew out. so in lou of the event we went out to eat at thaiphoon at the gateway, which i highly recomend.
and abby wore the dress that bruce and katie brought back for her from china!

a new addition to the family
don't even thinkaboutit. not another baby. I came upstairs this morning to find this:
no no, take a closer look.
perhaps you don't have your glasses on and don't know whats wrong with this picture... and an even closer look for you:
tyson went to good ol casper wyoming for a few days this week and found this little guy and brought him home for me. i had been asking for a dog for like our entire marriage, and knowing i wanted a pet he thought this would be the next best thing (i'm not a reptile person but i've taken a liking to him, he is half the size of my pinky... a tiny guy) lol... i love him we'll keep him. his name is Rupert (tyson chose).
we even got him a proper home today and food (live crickets)
ps. i edited the texas post and added more pics and abby had her 3 month birthday this week and she got 5 shots and HATED it :( but she's 95% in HEIGHT AND WEIGHT!! holy guacamole.

A little bit of china recuerdos
bruce and katie brought back many amazing things for their 120 days in china adventure. i love my coach purse :) one of the fun things they brought back was a little "weewee man"... take a look, that little guy can pee across the room! lol.
in texas
it's been a while because we've had a very busy summer! we went to texas for two weeks, but when it was time for tyson to go home i didn't want to just sit at home while he worked from 6 am to 10 pm and then fly... and i thought about how most of the time i would do anything for a two week vacation in texas with my family and so i extended my stay for two more weeks.. i ended up being at home for a month which was great, plus it was free to extend my flight through southwest :) i got to see a lot of bruce and katie because they were setting things up for school this fall in houston. they made us a real Chinese feast... hot pot.

it was awesome. and we got to spend time with daniel in between his scout camp, efy and philmont. cara was home most of the time too because we slept in most days and she usually got off work at 12. she got a wii while we were there and so we all had fun with wii fit.
we went to san antonio twice- once to see the alamo and river walk and once for sea world.

we also got to see a lot of my cousin josie who came down for the summer to nanny for dave (my cousin) and crystal. we loved spending time with all of them... we had them over a few times... crystal did our family photos (soon to come) and we had lunch with dave downtown at the dallas museum of art (right by where he works), and we took josie shoppin a couple of times to spend her nanny money.
we also spent a lot of time with jon and pam. they were over a lot because they were in the process of buying a house in the same ward as my parents. i helped them paint it after they closed and we helped them get their monies worth at their apartment pool with a few swim dates before they moved out. ps. their kids are third cousins to abby!
