mmmm BYU sports

yesterday we had a great day.... we had isaac's (jon and pamela's baby's) first birthday. we had a wonderful array of Asian foods and we went to the BYU men's volleyball game against stanford.... jon thinks all the games he goes to are jinked because BYU has pretty good sports teams but all of the games he has been to this school year we have lost... sad day. Tyson and I have all-sports-passes so we'll have to go to more of the basketball and volleyball games because they are so fun... i can't believe that volleyball game lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes though! those poor players only had a couple very short breaks... i can't remember the longest i played volleyball straight when i played, but when i coached a competitive intramural team at byu-idaho we had one like 7 hour tournament with only one 1 hour break.... i was exhausted and my voice was gone by the end.
men's volleyball is INTENSE!

funny story- last night we got home at about 10pm from the game and got ready for bed, and tyson said, "lets watch a little of a movie before we go to bed" (we do this a lot because i have a laptop and so when we get tired we just close it and sat it on the floor and we're already in bed and ready for bed). we were both tired but not ready to go to sleep quite yet, so i said, "lets just watch an episode of one of our tv shows we like from abc.com or nbc.com because then it's only like 23 minutes... OR better yet we could just do a quick sudoku online and then go to bed. if we do it together it will be quick." and tyson had work like always the next morning at 6am so.... we went to a free sudoku website and chose a hard one... we overestimated our skills. tyson and i have only done a few each.... like ever. so 48 minutes later when we finished we couldn't believe it took us that long... and so much for it being quicker.... i guess next time we'll be choosing a medium level one.

This wasn't the one we did, but i don't know why sometimes some times two of the same level will take very different times.... i guess my brain is asleep sometimes....

Pay back...

Don't get me wrong, I love my baby and i'm excited for it to grow and what not, and i know that it is not actually choosing to hurt me. but i'm getting to that stage in the pregnancy when some of the things my baby does are very uncomfortable and painful.... like when it chooses to punch my liver or kidneys.... or spine.... or pinch my intestines.... the bladder kicking doesn't hurt, it's just annoying... but most of all, i dislike when it stretches out as much as it can it's arms, legs, head, etc... and my belly gets really big for a little while and it pushes on every thing and tries to stretch me out... haha it's ok thought because when i'm alone and 94 years old and i need someone to pick up some depends for me from the store and help me switch mine out.... it'll be my daughter i call... hahaha

so i was looking for a picture of a wicked old lady to spice up my post and this came up and i thought it was better and it made me laugh....hilarious.

It's Time....

to start a blog.... because the whole emailing everyone we know wasn't working... and ended up just being a venting mechanism... I think. So, hopefully this goes better, but we'll see. LATELY.... we've just been busy, we're still trying to recooperate since last semester. it almost killed us. Tyson was taking 20 credits from UVU and working 40+ hours a week and i was taking 14 credits and, well, sick constantly with many a things mostly to do with the pregnancy. but hopefully all that will pay off when i have a healthy baby girl in May. Yes, I am an English major and a senior in college at BYU, so I save my spelling skills and MLA format for the many-a-papers that i have to write for my classes, and sorry if it bothers you, but this blog will in no way be gramatically correct or reflective of my knowledge on the subject :) anywho.... to destress i have started to do yoga with a friend from high school at the local hindu temple in spanish fork.

she had to go to their sunday meetings one day for a class and saw that they have free yoga on saturdays so we go now... it's nice because it's the minimal kind of exercise i can do while i'm preggy because i wasn't working out before i got pregnant. ps. here's the status of my belly (23 weeks last week)...

and yes the cravings have kicked in.... doughnuts all the time!!!! mmmm. now i'm craving one.

more posts to come :)
