abby likes to dance to music... she is so cute... i never thought i'd have a head banger daughter lol.

sometimes abby falls asleep while she's eating. people who don't have children have theories that if your child is keeping you up at night you can simply not let them nap during the day and then they'll sleep better at night, however that is not the case... abby has to have her naps when she gets tired.

it's the most wonderful time of the year...

i know i need to update so i will with out pics... i haven't taken any since halloween besides on my phone.

well yesterday tyson took the oral part of his instrument rating and he passed!!! yay! they didn't have time to do the flying (easy part) so he'll have to do that when we get back from the holidays. so he's officially looking full time for a job, he's been out of work for about a month. if you hear of anything awesome let us know, but then, don't be offended when tyson doesn't apply because he's really picky which you definately can can't be in this economy lol.

we will be spending the holidays... drum roll please... in TEXAS! yay, tyson has never been there when it isn't hotter than heck. and i haven't been there for christmas in many years.... since i was 17 1/2. so basically never as an adult. we leave in 6 days to be there for 9 days. we are more than excited!

we spent turkey day in bountiful with tyson's aunts and their families and it was great. we ate food played games. looked at black friday adds. and watched tv- "top gear" (the british one) and now we love the show, it makes us laugh sooo hard.

Abby is obsessed with pulling up as of late and the doctor said she should be walking by about 9 months if she keeps up with her progress. i don't know if i believe that. she is now 100% in height (instead of 95th)... her soccer career might have to turn basketball. she likes to spit and growl and smile (with her 1 tooth, as of 2 weeks ago).

I've been busy being the mom and being stressed about everything, and realizing that life will NEVER be perfect which is just fine. well abby woke up so i have to go now. We hope y'all have a wonderful christmas and new year!!

even sicker

oh boy i've been sick.... on top of the cold that got worse i got adenovirus this week, which i have gotten every november that i've lived in utah, ugh. so i lost 10 lbs throwing up in one day every 15 to 30 minutes sometimes a liter at a time.... i still have the cold i'm going to get an antiboitic today.
other than that i haven't seen the light of day but abby did crawl 4 steps yesterday....and it's snowing like mad.

I've been sick...way sick...

but that doesn't mean we haven't kept way busy... (contrary to what elder uchtdorf counselled in conference to do....but i am a stay at home mom and family matters most right....)  i apparently have a virus cold... but it's been horrible for two weeks dang it... i wish i had strep throat so that i could just get the meds and be over with it..... i've been sick for at least two weeks of every month for the past.... well now that i think about it, which i don't want to.....14 months basically....boo! but this particular cold has hit me every month since july... i think it's a recurring sinus infection but the doctor insists it will just go away on it's own... here i am at day 14 and i have no voice or end in sight so i'm just going to get on with life and hope i don't get anyone sick while i'm at it.

so we went for a hike... a block up from tyson's parents' house is a beautiful canyon and less than a mile up is a waterfall. (we hiked up there the first time i ever went to his house... for his 23rd birthday.) it was gorgeous.

i know i add so many pictures but if you know me you know that by default i'm very indecisive (especially about what to order at a resturant) and i have to concentrate when making decisions fast, so it's just easier for me to upload more photos than chose a few... sorry.

we went to ikea twice this past week... i love that store and tyson loves it too... since he went to sweden on his mission and they have tons of swedish stuff and swedish food and the cafe is cheap... we went on a date there last week and this week we bought a bunch of swedish christmas decorations for a little swedish tree. and i could go on and on but i'll just say abby loves it too!

we also went to hill air force base which i've never been to and it was awesome, i highly recomend! tyson especially loved it because he's a pilot...

 this is one of the largest planes there... that's tyson and his brother and the plane extends to both sides of the photo!

it had the biggest helicopters i've ever seen with propellers like 40 feet long, planes that can go over 2000 miles an hour, a wright brothers plane, fake bombs, a whole lot of planes, tons of american history, and lots other really cool things!

we also went up to logan for a double date with tysons sister last week and we carved pumpkins!

his pumpkin top was being stubborn... so i don't know what we're going to do when we don't live with family that can babysit all the time..... oh we are spoiled.

for the love... of food

ever since abby was 2 months she has cried when we eat. she wants the food so bad. she is a very good eater. i've only given her oatmeal apple and banana babyfood so far, but she usually doesn't get any on her bib unless her hands break free and get into it but usually i hold them back. this was in september... it seems like she gets bigger every day... she can sit up and then dive for toys and roll different ways and push up and do 360's on her belly and scoot backward on her belly... it just depends on how motivated she is.

mini trip to logan

as i mentioned, we went to logan for a mini sant get together, but before we went to their house we stopped at tyson's sister just on the other side of logan! we love jake and jor! they live with jake's aunt and uncle and they have a way sweet set up. we had a wonderful afternoon....

no No NO

We had two big family get-togethers in the past week and i didn't take a single picture at either...LAME. but they were great. Thanks to the hosts!

perry and angela were kind enough to plan a get together while grandma and grandpa colton were here. it was great. great food. great people. great times. te chicken was the bom.com :) and seeing everyone was ok too lol. ;) i always like going to their house. perry and angela's house always holds a special place in my heart because i saw them the most groing up because they also lived in texas when i did, brooke's my age, and perry is closest in age with my dad, but mostly because they lived in texas. i was glad to see stacia about to pop, and i'm so excited for her baby coming, and same with jinhee besides the popping part (she had morning sickness and isn't due for a while so her belly is still tiny, but not for long!:) it was good to see everyone's kiddo's and makes me look forward to when abby's older.

i was lucky enough for the stars to align to plan a trip to logan to see robert, bridget, remington, babyontheway, kathryn, lance, and kathryns good friend (i'm bad with names). kathryn was down here for her temple tour and lance came down to see family and friends and get an idea of where to live in january and talk to his couneslor at byu. we had a blast at their house which was way cool to see because robert built it with his own two hands and it's in a beautiful area. they've got a dog just like tyson's parent's brittney spaniels, hay, horses, and a really sweet sand box :). lance seems to be doing great and adjusting to nonmissionary life well (not that you're ever really done being a missionary). and kathryn will be adding i think 5 temple sights this trip logan, draper, ochre mountain, brigham city sight, and bountiful...kudos to this wonderful goal. we had an awesome time and wish we could have stayed longer. the dinner was delicious with vegtables from their garden and fish robert caught. it was so nice to just sit and chat while looking through all their picture books and family history books.

when we got to robert and bridget's abby had fallen asleep wiht the ring in her hand,  or the other way around.  :)

a dooable read for some one with a baby

and a really fast read for anyone else!... I thought i'd share that it's been really hard getting reading time as a new mommy but that i'm on the last 30 pages of The Hunger Games (by Collins). tyson and i both think its one of the best books we've read in a while. it's a series of three and we're only done with book one, but it was awesome. if you've heard of these books you know that they're really popular but lots of people haven't heard of them so i thought i'd share. i think it will have taken me two weeks to read between being really busy. i'm not gonna lie when i heard of them and wikipediaed the plot i couldn't beieve so many people liked these books because lots of people die in them, but it shows how corrupt a life like that is and there's a love story and lots of action  and so on... a very creative book i highly recommend (not necessarily to feint hearted children, but maybe, i think daniels reading it i'll let you know if he liked it) :)

Family Night

Abby has decided she hates her car seat. she has decided to cry every time she is in it. and she can get out if i don't strap her in, so i can't just set her in while i take a shower now. she even started hating walks so now she sits up like a big girl in the stroller!.... as for the car, i plan trips around her naps and can't wait till she is big enough for a big girl car seat.

For family night a few weeks ago we went for a walk along the nature preserve in bountiful... the signs were the most interesting part, we didn't spot any unusual plants or animals... so we decided to finish the walk at the bountiful pond!

we saw fish and birds (like big pelican cranes) and i think a bunny.... needless to say we will be going back and fishing soon.

i hope i'm not boring everyone with pictures and uneventful videos... i just put up as much as i can because babies change so fast and my family is so far away..... i think i'll edit some of these sometime...we were just out throwing the ball to the dogs and i thought i'd use kasi's awesome camera to take a few photos. abby really likes dogs, she doesn't know they can harass and bite yet. lol. a few days a week we go to the next door neighbors dog, tucker,when he's tied up in the front yard and give him a treat and pet him; he's very nice and friendly and lets abby pet him. he likes abby. when ever we're going for a walk and we stop to say hi he gives friendly barks to the stroller because he's too short to see abby but he's knows she's up there and wants her to come play. abby thinks it's the funniest thing that our (rich and kasi's) dogs are obsessed with playing fetch. she will sit at the edge of the patio in her bumbo or a blanket or the stroller and watch me throw them the ball, she obviously has never thrown them the ball but they like to bring it back to her and drop it at her feet (once they dropped it on her head but it's just a tennis ball so it wasn't a big deal) then they wait patiently and stare intently at the ball to wait for her to throw it although she never has-- they are loyal dogs. haha
